As the Season of Creation begins, we pray that it touches hearts around the world. We give thanks for progress on renewables and reducing transport emissions. We pray for those advocating for climate action – and, in response to the damage we see around us – ask God to guide governments, businesses and individuals in effective change.
If you are gathering with others to pray for the climate, this simple service can give you a framework for your prayers. You can use it on its own, or join it with our monthly prayer points.

Sometimes it can be helpful to come together at a particular time to pray and reflect – praising and giving thanks to God for creation, bringing our concerns and thanksgivings about the climate before God, and listening to discern where God might be calling us to act.
